The Long Story

Numinous Productions owner Ryan Simmons graduated from Cedarville University with a B.A. in English. He started working for a Christian Camp, and developed their media department from scratch. While he designed their website and brochures, he was approached by several other ministries to tackle their various media needs. These outside requests grew in frequency until he made the decision to start his company, Numinous Productions, in 2008.

The word "Numinous" is pronounced like "NEW - min - us". It's a word that dates from the early 1600s, which is probably why you don't see it used very often at all. The word has two meanings. The first meaning is related to magic. To call something numinous is to say that it seems magical. The second meaning is related to light. Specifically, numinous means light that comes from God Himself. It is a word that is used frequently by authors C. S. Lewis and J. R. R. Tolkien in their works. Being an English major and literary nerd, Ryan used this word to describe his new venture, and the name Numinous Productions was born.

The company is based out of Holmes County Ohio, and serves businesses and non-profits all over the state of Ohio, and all around the country.
